“When I first learned about the project proposed for Higginbotham, I was skeptical about what this would bring to my community. In the past any investment that was supposed for our community was usually what someone else deemed good for us, our voices didn’t seem to matter, our ideas were not considered, our concerns overlooked, and feelings dismissed.
