Waverly Properties

Waverly Properties anchors revitalization in Dexter-Davison by restoring two multifamily buildings and strengthening the neighborhood streetscape. All units will be designated as affordable housing at 60% AMI, supporting residents and preserving community vibrancy.

Six Affordable Homes. Real Neighborhood Impact.

URGE will rehabilitate two multifamily homes on Waverly to deliver six quality, affordable 2-bedroom units. The work focuses on creating updated, durable homes for Detroit residents while contributing to the momentum along Dexter Avenue and within the Dexter–Davison community.

Waverly sits inside an active improvement zone. Recent and planned investments include streetscape upgrades on Dexter Avenue, safer crossings, lighting and wayfinding, plus new planting beds and transit amenities. Nearby public amenities include the Helen Moore Community Center and Park with on-site parking and EV chargers. Multiple small-business façade improvements and murals are activating the corridor, along with a Dexter retail pop-up on city-owned land immediately next door.

  • Dexter Streetscape Enhancements: sidewalks, cycle track, lighting, crossings, signage and wayfinding
  • Helen Moore Community Center & Park: under construction, parking with EV charging
  • Retail pop-up activation: next door to the project
